Brief history of the business

Our journey began when Sergio, a Brazilian gay man, moved to Sydney and needed a job. He discovered a demand for cleaning services among his new gay friends, who felt uncomfortable hiring traditional cleaners due to the concern of being descriminated. Desperately looking for a job, Sergio saw this as an opportunity to help his friends with their cleaning needs while making a living. Initially, he only offered home cleaning services for friends and expected it to be a short-term business, but through word of mouth, his clientele expanded rapidly. As demand grew, Sergio had to hire more and more assistants and later an IT guy to create and maintain the website and manage appointments. This IT guy later became his boyfriend, which is another story to tell. Together, they founded Queer Eyes Cleaning. Today, we serve over 50 regular clients across the Sydney CBD and the surrounding suburbs. Additionally, we have expanded our cleaning services to cover commercial space, such as offices, studios and saunas.
